Obama Calls for New Education Technology Agency

The Obama administration wants to establish a new agency with the U.S. Department of Education to support the creation of education technologies and to promote their adoption by teachers, according to a news article in the journal Science. The new entity, described briefly here, will be part of the president’s 2012 budget request. It would be called Advanced Research Projects Agency-Education.
